We Help Small Businesses Win Government Contracts — Brick by Brick

Team Integrity Knowledge Center (TIKC) is a government contracting consulting and education firm built for small and minority-owned businesses that are ready to compete — and win — in the federal marketplace. From your first SAM.gov registration to your first seven-figure award, we work alongside you at every stage: certifications, registrations, proposal writing, and pipeline development, all under one roof.

Our Story

TIKC was founded by Melanie Patterson, a Chicago-area entrepreneur with more than a decade of business-building experience and a background that didn’t start in boardrooms — it started in nursing. That path taught her two things that define how we work today: discipline under pressure, and the belief that the right knowledge, delivered the right way, changes lives.

After navigating the world of government contracting firsthand, Melanie saw how many capable small business owners were locked out of federal opportunities — not because they weren’t qualified, but because nobody had shown them the process. The paperwork, the portals, the acronyms, the unwritten rules. TIKC exists to remove those barriers.

What We Do

We don’t just teach government contracting — we do it alongside you. Our team handles set-aside certifications (8(a), WOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, MBE, DBE, and more), complete SAM.gov and DSBS registration, and federal proposal writing that speaks the evaluator’s language. Through GovCon iSource, our done-for-you pipeline system, we help you identify, pursue, and win the contracts that fit your business.

How We Work

Everything we build follows one philosophy: brick by brick. Government contracting rewards businesses that lay a proper foundation, grow their eligibility deliberately, and scale their pipeline with discipline. That’s the exact path we walk with over 500 businesses and counting — registration first, certifications second, competition third. No shortcuts, no skipped steps, no surprises.

Why Integrity Is in Our Name

Federal contracting is a trust business. Agencies trust contractors who follow the rules; contractors trust advisors who tell them the truth. We will tell you which certifications you actually qualify for, which opportunities are worth your time, and when you’re not ready yet — because your long-term success matters more to us than a quick sale.
